Music and Voice License
In short
- Use OpnCut library music and OpnCut voiceovers in the movies you export with OpnCut, for free or commercial use, including ads on any platform.
- Don't take the music or voices out of your movies to use or sell on their own.
- No credit needed, and no extra fees.
1. What this license covers
This license covers library music (tracks from the OpnCut music library) and voiceovers (speech generated by OpnCut's voice service) that are part of a movie you export with the OpnCut app ("your movie"). OpnCut is made by Notch Studio AB, organisation number 559600-2708, Kragstalundsvägen 29, 186 54 Vallentuna, Sweden ("we", "us").
2. What you may do
As long as you follow our Terms of Service, we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the music and voiceovers as part of your movie:
- for personal and commercial use, including advertising, product launches, app store previews and websites;
- on any platform: social media (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and others), paid ads, your website, presentations, broadcast and events;
- for yourself or, if you make movies for others, for your client's use of that movie;
- without credit or attribution, although we always appreciate it.
The license continues for movies you exported while you had the right to export them, even if you later cancel your plan or close your account.
3. What you may not do
- Use, sell, share or upload the music or voiceovers on their own or separated from your movie, for example as audio files, in a music or sound library, or as a backing track.
- Register the music or voiceovers with a content identification system (such as YouTube Content ID) or claim copyright in them.
- Use them to train AI models.
- Use voiceovers to impersonate a real person, or in content that breaks our acceptable use rules.
- Use music or voiceovers from a movie exported outside the OpnCut app's Export, or in a movie your plan does not allow you to export with music or voice.
4. Ownership
We, or our licensors, keep the rights to the music and the voices. You own your movie as a whole. Because the music library is shared, other OpnCut users may use the same tracks in their own movies.
5. Content ID claims
If a platform flags your movie because of OpnCut music, contact support@opncut.app with a link and we will help you clear it.
6. Stock media
Stock photos and videos found through OpnCut are not covered by this license. They come from Pexels and Pixabay under their own licenses, which generally allow free commercial use.
